Translating unseen internal
dialogues
into an abstract visual language.

New to the Collection

In a world filled
with noise,

Amena has become aware how increasingly difficult it is to separate the voices of others from one’s own. Society is in a constant state of consumption, internalising others’ thoughts, experiences and cultures. Her works explore the question: 'How do we locate our true selves amid the chaos of conflicting stories?’

To hold space for this inquiry, her palette is intentionally subdued and monochromatic. By limiting colour, she avoids distraction and keeps the dialogue open.

About the
Collection

Through recognisable yet abstract gestural markings, Amena connects elements across the surface. Her asemic writings, void of literal meaning, form an independent personal language that evokes familiarity and shared experience between artist and viewer.
